• via @cityofaventura • —> The City of Aventura announces its 2nd annual Arts, Crafts, and All That Jazz festival featuring live entertainment by the Nicole Yarling Quartet, the South Florida Jazz Orchestra and the University of Miami Frost School of Music Jazz Ensemble on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Founders Park from noon to 5 PM. Admission is free.Aventura is a community rich in culture and creativity, and this festival aims to showcase what makes this City a “City of Excellence”. Arts and crafts including, but not limited to, paintings, quilts, sculpture, photography, and jewelry by local artists will be on display and for sale. Small children will enjoy creating their own art with chalk, jewelry, foam, crafts, and sand at the children’s outdoor art studio. In addition, the show highlights the Young Artists Showcase, a special exhibit designed to give young talent an opportunity to present and sell their work. The University of Miami Frost School of Music will provide performances throughout the duration of the festival by a variety of their highly acclaimed musicians including the Nicole Yarling Quartet, the Stamps Jazz Quintet, the Frost School of Music Jazz Sextet, and the South Florida Jazz Orchestra.Food trucks and the Aventura Green Market will be selling goods and refreshments. Please be advised that alcoholic beverages and pets are not permitted at the park.Founders Park is located at 3105 NE 190 Street, and parking will be available at the City of Aventura Government Center parking garage (located just west of Founders Park) as well as at the Harbour Centre located on the corner of NE 188 Street and NE 29 Avenue. Complimentary shuttle service will run to and from the Harbour Centre and Founders Park from noon through 5:30 PM.
