Miami, FL.– Later today, at the Grand Palms Golf & Country Club in Pembroke Pines, Portadaflorida Magazine will once again hold its yearly Celebrating Women Networking & Awards . This event  was started in 2009 in Downtown Hollywood and has been held in Pembroke Pines every year since 2010.  It is the opportunity to give out  PORTADAflorida AWARDS to local Hispanic Women –   -One for Entrepreneurship and the other for Community Service.

As it has during the past, it will support a local non-profit. This year the event will benefit The Forza Stefano Charitable Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to provide economic support to teens suffering from Cancer or other debilitating diseases and their families during  their time of greatest need.

This year’s recipients of the Portadaflorida Awards are two distinguished  Hispanic Women that are very active in their communities.

The Community Service Award will go to Kattia A. Castellanos, from Cuba. She is an advocate for victims of violent crimes, who has dedicated her life to their support and success.

The Business Award will go to our editor, Maria Eugenia Pardo de Bello, from Venezuela, based in her accomplishments as an entrepreneur in South Florida.

The Portadaflorida Awards have many of the same supporters and repeat sponsors yearly because it is an established community event that local elected officials and community leaders attend along with hundreds of professionals and business owners. Is a bilingual event –MCs speak both in English and Spanish – which attracts guests from all of South Florida.  Also, it is a fun Networking, with vendors, music and always an added feature such as  Art exhibit  & Fashion Show. This year will also include a Flamenco presentation by LunaCale Flamenco group.
